Any thoughts welcome; Radio 3 were recommending Joshua Bell for the Mendelssohn, but he was very young when he recorded the Bruch. Any views on the relative merits of Anne Sophie Mutter/ Kyung Wha Chung/ Midori. Ideally I like a strong Kreisler-ish type of sound rather than sickly sweet and slightly whiney.

Wow! This is like the Chrysalids! Who are you and who is that orchestra? You may be just some bod on the internet but that fact gives an air of mystery and excitement to your recording free of the high expectations of a megastar. I think for now I will adjudicate Bruch as the winner of this competition and will save your recording. Unfortunately it is only the third movement.
