My fiance and I talked to a friend of his who works at a music store, and he said that he can get us a Gunter Maibach (violin `brand` made only for BrookMays) outfit valued at $995 for $595. I don`t know if anyone knows anything about this line since they are made specially for this store, but I would appreciate any input. It sounds to me like a really good deal.
Also, what bow should I get, as I really don`t want to use the cheapy ones that come with the student outfits. I was thinking of a Glasser or a K. Holtz, but I`m a newbie, so I need some "expert" advice.

It`s hard to be sure as the picture is so small but it sounds like a reasonable buy. If it`s what i think it is, you might find the bow entirely adequate.

I am looking at buying one for my daughter. It has a wood bow not a fiberglass one and a nice impact resitant case. With her rental fee`s over 3 years they will also credit us $375 so with tax I can get the violin for $ 700. I do not know much about violins but it sounds like a good deal.
