I am going to start to take viola lessons, I really want to play this beautiful instrument. My parents dont want to buy me a viola, they want me to focus just in my studies so I have decided to buy it myself.

I have a few questions, what is the best viola someone can buy? Is a cremona viola good? Because a guy is selling me a brand new cremona viola.

If you can give me any recomendation, I will be really thankful

Hi Vrockprincess. Nice to see you are on violaforum.be too.

Under to subject "violas and violists" there is a thread called "the Thousand Dollar Viola" that discusses quality instruments at a modest price. You will see a few suggestions there.

Good luck!

Well in particular i like the Gliga but i think that my viola is a Knillings. Also i think that the Johannes-Kohrs are very nice to my stand partner in the orchestra owns one.
I dont really know any others but i have heard that those are very nice violas.
I am particularly fond of my Knillings.

i hope that my information was helpful.
