New Player

Im just started and have a few qucik ones. 1) the bridge: should the lower end be under the a string

2)my bow wont open up to more than half or quarter inch, is this normal or do i have a faulty one

3) my bow hairs are breaking much much faster than my violin bow hairs, what might be the cause

1. yes the low end of the bridge goes under the A string

2. Sounds as if it could be faulty

3. Hairs on new bows do break. Unless you lose a lot of them i shouldn`t worry too much.

2) How far the bow `opens` varies, but as long as you can put a bit of pressure on the middle of your bow and not touch the wood/plexiglass, you`re fine.
