Well, well, well.
Recently this year, a well-meaning old couple donated a cello to the school. They bought it from Ebay. Well, this cello was clearly made out of plastic, or some kind of cheap wood. It had a bright orange hue to it's color, and sounded pretty bad until we put Larsen strings on it. I used it for almost the whole year, because, until yesterday, I didn't have my own cello.
If you want a good insturment to learn on, then it dosen't really matter if you are just trying to learn technical stuff. But if you plan on learning more about the cello, and are considering a future with the instrument, I suggest that you do not stick with an Ebay cello. However, it came with a sturdy case, but quite bulky-which came in handy once in a while.
Many times people just pick up whatever looks good to them and sell them. Be careful if you're planning on keeping this cello for a loong time.
So, if you are a begginer
