The older a cello gets(or any other stringed instrument) the better it sounds, especially since it was wade by a well known string instrument maker of that time. I dont care how bad it looks or who made it, if it`s in good condition and really old, it WILL sound good, being damaged doesn`t matter because they can always be fixed.

i really like yo-yo ma`s strad. i was actually talking to him after a concert about that little incident in NYC (i believe) with the taxi and all... lol. nice cello picture btw...pretty sweet (sorry i`m a flute player..that`s all i can really say about a cello i haven`t heard play before)
