Hmmm, I don`t blame you at all! I`m a cello addict too, and I`ve been playing 7 years (I`m a senior in high school now) Though strangely I didnt get my own cello until a few weeks ago. I practice for at least an hour a day though at times it can be more like 4 =P

When I`m home and not playing I`m lucking up stuff for me and my violinist friend and our unofficial quartet to play (right now we`re having fun with Summer from Vivaldi <3 )

Send me an email if you wish!

Sometimes I would get so into practicing my cello, that I would be prcticing for 4-6 hours straight. I use to do that a lot during high school. But now, I haven`t played it in the longest time and can`t seem to just pick it up. That`s because most of the music I have is soo boring.

I love the cello. I started at an odd year, sixth grade instead of fifth (in fifth grade, i played the flute, which I hated) but I`m in eigth grade now, and I`m in the chamber orchestra at my school. I really love the cello, but my evil orchestra teacher won`t let me move up to a full size cello, even though I need one, and I get really frustrated on the stupid three quarter size, because I can`t get my hand squished up enough to get my fourth finger in tune It`s really annoying, but I still practice about two hours a day.

Keep practicing that fourth finger! I know what you mean. After you get it, though, it`s a breeze.

I realize you have all talked about this already however I have been playing since i was 3 years old and I used to hate cello
i know. but now, like someone said, i can`t get enough of it! And I agree, it all depends on the music you have. Boring music makes for boring playing, and no one wants to do something boring. (i s`pose that`s why its conisidered to be boring)
anyways that`s my input. I`m out

I like playing the fastest and most difficult music I can get my hands on.
-Rimsky-Korsakov, "Flight of the Bumble-Bee"
-Popper, "Hungarian Rhapsody"
-J.S. Bach, "Sonata 1ma a Violino Solo sen%a Basso di",
