I`m an oboe player and have been playing for several years. I want to switch. How hard would the switch be? (I can read Bass Clef okay)

depends on how much you click with a string instrument... reading bass clef makes your life a bit easier... I`ll put it to you this way, I started on trumpet and switched to cello less than a year ago... I`m a million times better on cello than I ever was on trumpet... its not that hard... good luck, if you want any specific advice, feel free to emailme

i play oboe and the cello 2 and i find that the oboe is much harder than the cello. with the oboe you have to use your enbesure alot and sometimes it can even hurt u. Go For it
