whoah... i went off track lol. hmm. so xavier, did you get a cello yet?
not really, I`m a bit skeptical now about those ebay cellos, but It`s a dilemma since I`m on a budget and can`t afford anything better. As I said I`d like a student-quality cello that is more or less around the $500 - $550 range that will take me through the learning process without breaking down halfway down the road..

Xavier,
Well it`s not really off topic. One thing just leads to another. You were just talking about those cellos and they were made in china and I just gave you the facts of what you would be supporting and who you would be giving money to
jay,
communist china and cuba(my moms from there, cuba) are pretty much the same, and if you visit cuba, the government will only allow you to visit specific areas, the better areas obviously. China is gigantic you only visited a little spec of it, the rest 99.9% of it that you`ll never get to see is what i`m talking about.

forget about chinese cellos, the only good ones are pricey like european or american ones, so why bother?
try french cellos, they are great. i have played a mirecourt for 11 years and loved it - and was very upset when i had to sell it!!!
i can recommend two websites:
cellos2go.com and brobstviolins.com
if you are on a budget - like myself now - try a yamaha electric cello, either the svc-50 or the svc-200.
good luck!
