I currently play the flute, but I am really interested in learning, electric Jazz bass. Assuming I know nothing, (and I don`t!) could you tell me where would be a good place to start? I went into house of rock and the guy showed me a `standard Fender Jazz bass` It was that wood type, with a red bit. Do you know the one I am talking about? Or am I not making any sense? Help! Where to start?

Hello Becky, you would start wherever you live, I mean there has to be somebody around where you live to teach you how to play the bass. Just do research.
