I recently obtained a Ventura Acoustic Guitar. Believe it or not, it was being tossed out in the trashed and I rescued it. The neck is straight, the frets are in excellent shape, and the tone is amazingly warm and full.

The label inside the sound hole says the following:

Castilla, V12, designed in the USA, Made in Japan,

there is no serial number at all anywhere. It does not say Bruno anywhere. It appears to be a 3/4 body. Great sound, nice patina on the wood. Really a beautiful piece.

From what I can gather, at the time it was a no frills, not-too-pricey instrument that copied Gibson etc.

Anybody have any idea as to the year manufactured or what the Castilla means? Any idea on value?

Any other info would be most appreiated. Comments are welcome.
