Hey i have been washing my guitar <fender strat> with furniture polish. Should i get real polish? My teacher says it is a waste of money.

The only part of a guitar you really need to polish is the neck and fretboard, and thats only if you have a rosewood fingerboard. Lemon oil does great. You really only need to polish once every 6 months or so, and just keep the dust off it otherwise.
