Recently while playing my piano at home I have noticed that the bass notes are not being sustained by the sustain pedal, I was wondering if anybody might know how I would fix this or if I should leave it and get a professional piano person to look at it?!?!?

If your still wondering, I would seek professional help. I'm no expert on piano mechanics, but this sounds quite serious.

I agree, get a prof. tuner to come in and see what's wrong. My piano teacher had that problem a few years ago and after a prof. tuner came to her house, her piano sounded like it was mint condition.

I have the same problem for my piano but the bass part are normal, just the middle part. It is not so serious but a tuner can fix it for you in a short time.
