I agree with pianoplayer_02 that "Turkish March" is hard. I also think that some parts of "Fur Elise" are hard, too.

I have never attempted it, but by the sound of it, Memphesto Waltz by Lizt.
I have it on my iPod, and it is so effing beautiful!

My choices would have to be...

Liszt: Mazeppa,Sonata in b minor, Grand Galop Chromatic, the rhapsodies are difficult, Un sospiro, Tarantella, La campanella, liebestraum... just look for any liszt piece and you'll be astounded.

Chopin: op.10, op.25 etudes, ballade 1 in g-minor

Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto 2 and 3

I don't know where people are getting the idea that the turkish march is very difficult lol, but i would have to agree that fantasie impromptu would be hard but not giantly difficult as theses pieces would

try Chopin Etude "Revolutionary" . I've been playing it for several months, but I still can't play it without a miss .

i don't know but i think polonaise by chopin. it's really awesome.... nyeheheh.. and then maybe flight of the bumble bee played by maksim... nyhehehe

scherzo in b flat minor is hard im playing it and my teacher corrects me on almost every measure ugggh...

Flight of the Bumblebee isn't too hard once you get the finger patter down (which basically depends on technique and how much you practice). Becuase playing an instrament has to do with musel memory, you just have to practice it over and over again. Speed is really the only challenge there.

Maple Leaf Rag looks difficult, but then again i've never tried it.

I would agree with some of it, like some of Debussy's work...um, rachmaninoff's concertos, uh...chopin is for sentimental no-brainers, hmm...welll, in the end, i would say that the hardest pieces are not fast. they're slow as hell. and those are hard because you aren't just playing notes. you're playing piano.
