I love listening to jazz pianists, so I would have to say Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea.

It is hard to pick one. I love a CD of piano sonatas by Yanis Beiring. Unfortunately, I can find no real evidence that this guy actually exists, so obscure is he! Can anyone help? The sound quality on the disc is rather average, but the interpretations excite me each time I listen. As far as more well known pianists go, I nominate Sviatoslav Richter and Martha Argerich.

Okay, it's time to come clean...I was an early member of the Barry Manilow fan club! Truly, he is a great performer and a wonderful pianist. I still am a fan. I guess my favorite is Elton John. I love his enthusiasm. I consider him a modern-day 'Mozart.'

ShanaMarie, I couldn't find anything on him, except that he is 52 and has cerebral palsy. Sure would like to see him play.
