Hi, I was just wondering what are some good concert/performing pieces to start with? Like nothing too hard, like La Campanella or the Badinage Etude, and no concertos either (most don`t sound good without an orchestra behind them). But they should be hard enough to impress people and give them a reason to come see it. But I`ve already thought of a few like the Heroic Polonaise or Fantaise Impromptu. I`m not quite good enough yet for songs like this, but I`ve advanced amazingly quickly so if I keep on going on this fast I should be playing these and/or other similar pieces in a year, maybe two.

Bye the way, if anyone knows where I can find George Winston`s Carol of the Bells PLEEEEAASE let me know!!

If you just started you shouldnt be rushing into those hard pieces. Play something around your level..

Well... wat the guy on top says is true (but not wat u got 2 do !) I started doing a Waltz( op64 n°1) from chopin after 4/5 months of piano play (tough i am 15 y/old so i think it`s easier to start playing an instrument) OK it took me a week to master it but... it`s possible!!!
also after 6/7 months i started a rondo from Mozart (also know as turkish march...i aen`t talking about the easy thing on this site i`m talking about the real one (level 7 akording to music-scores.com )from SONATA IX (i think)And that took me less than a week
So i believe in :" when there`s a will there`s a way"
