Particularly in his sonatas, I am having trouble making real music out of mozart. I can play the notes, but that just isn`t enough, and I am realizing some expression in his work, but not enough. Any suggestions as to how I can make better music out of mozart?

I remember I used to consider the JSBach`s music a bit distant and even dry. But one day I read a Bach`s biography, and also I saw in TV a video about his life (which I recorded and enjoy several times a year). Then I developed such an affection by the composer, that I began to appreciate his music under another light. Bach became and remains my favorite composer. Maybe useful for you to approach to Mozart as man and musician too.

Also, opera singers often declares about the purity, clarity and transparency of the Mozartian singing, which demands for them the uppermost artistic rigour and that don`t admit any excess. I think the same is valid for his piano works, and may be an interesting challenge for a pianist to reach the same goals.

Finally, an interesting fact is that many great pianists, as approach to old age themselves, prefer and enjoy playing Mozart`s music more than any other`s. So, let the time do the same work for you.
