Titans are equal to, say, Wal-mart drums. Like anything-you want quality, you gotta pay

From what i`ve heard about drums (including Titans) you get what you pay for. I`m fifteen and I just bought a 7 Piece Titan set with a "retail value" of about $800.00. I`m hoping I made a good choice in buying it, but I think I will have to replace my heads. I`m no expert in drums, in fact about two weeks ago I was messing aroung with a Yamaha set in my school`s band room and it inspired me to buy a set and learn how to play. What brand and type of heads would you recommend for me?

I got my Titan set and the heads sounded really bad. I replaced them with Remo hydraulic heads and now it sounds great. Is there any way to reduce the tin\vibration sound that the drums make? Is that an overtone?

From what I heard, no. They are rip-offs and not even good rip-offs. They fall apart. I was gonna buy one but I went with a verve master. I haven`t got it yet but my friend, who is an avid drummer, said it`s a good set but the cymbals suck, go figure

ive gotten my double pedals and have been beating them wildly and they have held up through my test. i would recommend this double pedal to any beginner/intermediate drummer who wants to get a double bass drum pedal. The springs they come with are REALLY tight, so some of the drummers might need to switch the springs, but other than that they're a great addition to any beginner/intermediate drummer and they're quite afforadable.

I got mine off of ebay, used of course for about $55 including shipping and handling, i was at first a little skeptical of the product for being so cheap but its a great deal for the cost.

i've never actually owned a Titan drum, or even played one, i just own one of ther double pedals. Any drumset sounds good as long as the bearing edges are sanded down evenly and you spend some $$$ on decent heads/cymbals. i wouldnt recommend a Titan drum to use for recordings becuase all the reviews ive read make it sound horrible for recording, but just to hit something and play along with the band should be fine. But if i were you i would rather by the DW EZ Piece kit (get news cymbals IMMEDIATELY with this set)

Im a drum teacher and one of my student recently bought the DW Ez Kit (printed it off from music123.com then took it to Guitar Center and got its for $220, when they cost $400) I helped him set it up the drums look/sound INCREDIBLE for their price. The drums of course comes with pretty bad heads/cymbals. They come with 1 play clear heads and STAMPED cymbals. The heads you can hold off on but switch out the cymbals immediately. If you do get the DW EZ Kit you might have to redo the bearing edges (just sand them down using sand-paper so that its entirely level) and it should sound pretty good. The kit comes in Black and Wine Red.

heres the site for the DW EZ Kit

if you want to buy this, just print it off the website and take it to your nearest Guitar Center, they'll price match it no matter what. The only bad thing about that package is that it doesnt come with a throne.

I bought a 5 piece kit made by Verve last year. Not the best, but certainly a durable kit worthy of a few hundred bucks. recently, I decided to add a few pieces onto this Verve kit and clicked onto national Music. I bought a 14 mounted tom and am in the process of buying an 8 inch and 10 pair with the stand. I just received the 14 inch today and in all honesty, I like it much better than the Verve kit. It seems to be built using a much more strict quality assurance program therefore delivering a more deep tone and even more durability. I have all my toms (excluding the 16 inch floor) mounted on a Pearl DR-80 drum rack and use Zildjian ZBT's all the way around. I'll give this kit a few weeks of rigorous playing and see how they perform. If they aren't up to my standards, I'll sell the whole Verve kit and move up to an OSP or Titan. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah....replace the heads with brand name ones. I put EVANS G2's on all my toms and an HD Dry snare batter head. My bass is set up with an Evans EMAD system and I love it. I really like the look of those TITAN kits and saw another kit from Sigler music named OSP. They look good also. Happy drummin'!!!

I bought a set 6 months ago. The snare chords were bent so it didn't make a snare noise. One of the Toms wouldn't stay on the mount. They sent me 4 different sizes and never got it right. Some of the Lugs were not threaded correctly. I would never buy a set again. I put Evans G2 heads on it and it sounds decent. Still not great. I would only buy this set for a beginner. I was playing on a Premier kit and their is no comparison. Spend the extra cash so you will be happy!
