hey randy, did you order the $300 dollar seven piece with the plywood shells or the $500 one with the maple shells? let us know what the quality of the heads are and how good the suspension tom mounts are. also inspect the two smallest tom toms, see if they are of the same quality with the other 4, im skeptical that they are even maple wood. give us all as many details as possible, it`s good information to have. especially when buying a musical instrument before you can even hear how it sounds. thanks bro

I have purchased 2 Titan sets for each of my sons, they ship them FedEx and they were extremely well packaged. Both sets (a 5 piece and a 7 piece) arrived in perfect condition and I was very pleased with the time to delivery.

Our Drummer has a no-name brand set. He has Remo heads, a DW snare, and Zildjian ZXT Titanium Cymbals. All he needs is a slightly better drumset. He`s an amazing drummer, and this piece of garbage doesn`t do any justice to his talent. Given this info...Titan: Good or Not?

THE TITAN KITS " BLOW" IF YOU WANT A GOOD KIT LOOK UP BASIX.GREAT HEADS.SUPER HEAVY HARDWARE AND MAPLE SHELLS FOR THE COST OF A CHEAP SET.SOUND WONDERFUL.I WENT TO NAMM LAST SUPPER ( WHICH IS THE HUGE MUSIC SHOW FOR NEW PRODUCTS) AND THIS GUY DID A DRUM CLINIC ON A BASIX KIT.SOUNDED PHENOMINAL.IM SERIOUS WHEN I SAY LOOK THOSE KITS UP.ONLY THING TITAN MAKES THATS WORTH THE MONEY IS THE HARWARE...STANDS ETC.

Hey all, I would just like to know if anyone can truly compare the Titan set, with new heads, to another company`s set, lets say a Basix set, with the same heads. I`m just trying to get an overall conclusion from what everyone is saying, because the heads do make a huge difference, and I don`t know if people are saying Titans are terrible because of the heads it comes with. The only thing I can say right now about Titan drums, is that they come in sizes of 7 piece, for the same price of a Basix 5 piece. (Both around $499)

Thanks a lot because I`m thinking of getting one. But I`m just curious, is it one of the best drumsets you`ve heard and/or played? And did you change the heads? Thanks again

Has anyone compared the titans to the pulse drums offered at Musicians friend? I am thinking of the 7 piece set for my son. Thanks for the input

I recently recieved a 5-piece Titan Drum Set and I was pretty happy with the quality of the drum set. It`s nothing real fancy, but I think it`s a good kit for beginners.
Oh, and does replacing the heads make a big difference in the tuning and sound? If so, what brand would any you people recommend?

But, then again...    16:20 on Sunday, February 29, 2004

Thanks, we`re looking into these. Oh, and everyone I know reccomends Remo or Evans heads. It makes a HUGE Difference in sound. Coated ones sound meatier and last longer, from what I understand.

But I don`t know. I`m a Bass Player.

I recently purchased a 7 pc Titan Set and changed the heads to Evans hydrolics. WOW, they sound great! I cannot even begin to say that changing the heads makes all the difference! The hardware is Solid (with a captial "S") and with good heads and the cymbals of your choice you cannot go wrong for $299.99!

Has anyone purchased one of the Titan 1000 series drum racks from National Music Supply on eBay?
I have a Tama Granstar set & have been playing for 20 years. I know you get what you pay for, but I had Pearl rack, and sold it (stupid me) I am looking for another, with round tubing. I`ve looked at Gibraltar & Tama. I like the price of the Titan (who wouldn’t) but am skeptical of the quality. Need unbiased info, please.
