I would like to learn marimba in my spare time. I have taken a basic course on percussion, and I know how to basically play, but my problem is, what music is there to start out on? Preferably two mallet pieces.

As far as peices to practice- I would check out the "Standard of Excellence" band book. It's nothing exciting- basically it's several short lines of music. It's nice because it gets you playing different styles of music and the different styles help work on technique. Book one starts at the absolute beginner music and the third and final book discusses four mallet technique.
