I just recently began playing sax and i was wondering if Armstrong Saxes were any good.

If you are a beginner, as you stated, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Armstrong saxes, infact it is a good beginner sax. That being said Armstrong does not have great sound quality although it is not poor, intonation is also quite a bit off, but for the price...its not bad. I would recommend an Armstrong to anyone who is NOT planning to play after High School. If you decide to continue playing I would definately get something else. Don`t worry about the Yamaha`s Yanagisawa`s Selmers...etc unless you become serious, otherwise you will waste your money.
