So, going from transposing written sheet music for the piano to alto saxophone is 1 and a half steps up right? In other words, C on the piano = Eb on the alto, which is 1.5 steps or 3 half steps ---- c# d Eb, right? Isn`t that the step to transpose for every piano to the alto sax?
