I have never really had this problem until recently, and it is really strange. all of my notes sound fine, except for the `middle`D note (octave key plus all 6 main keys). whenever i try to play it after one of the lower-octave notes, it always has a `stressed`soune (almost like a screach) This is really annoying and I was wondering if there is any way to help it, or any altenate fingerings for the note. this hasn`t happened before, and i doubt i will grow out of it, as i have been playing for three years. Thanks for any help!

It happens when you switch from your upper octave key to your lower, on tenor I have a problem with G on alto D. This is an inherint problem with the make of the saxophone. Fortunately there are way to overcome this. Use warm air when playing, it opens your throat more. Check your embouchure, and your placement on the mouthpiece. Another thing that helps me to overcome this is to think about the sound of the note before you get there, it sounds korny I know but it works for me.

Good Luck
