i just started playing alto and i took it to a music center and the tech tested and adjusted it for me!! best thing i ever did !!! i bought a brand new Conn and he said the C key wasn't opening right and the octave key wasn't closing correctly and so he adjusted everything--no charge-- and what a difference that made trying to hit the D & E but my question is how do you tune a sax??? should i have one of those electronic tuners?? thanks and have a great weekend newbie john

HINT: Once You Feel Like Your Sax Is Pretty Much Perfectly In Tune, Or Close Enough, You Should Take A Butter Knife Of A Pen And Trace All The Way Around The Cork At The Edge Of The Mouth Peice. It Works For Me And My Friends.

<Added>

From That Point On, Use That Mark As Your Guide As How Far To Push In Your Mouth Peice.
