i play a student model Jupiter alto sax with a Selmer C** mouthpiece and last year i bought a Leblanc Bonade inverted ligature which cost $20, but within 6 months of having it, one of the ribs snapped in half for no reason. what is a good ligature that will withstand marching band and will be able to also sound nice in concert band that doesnt cost me alot? This is my senior year in high school and i only intend to play sparingly in college so i dont want to spend too much on it

I also have a C** mouth piece and I use the Selmer C** ligature I think. The salesman at the music shop says that it is the ligature that selmer makes to go with the C**, it was $20 and has been a pretty good ligature so far. It is really sturdy, I don`t think it would break on you.
