I've got a alto selmer D mouthpiece just wondering where that stands as far as quality and playability. My other mouthpiece is for a tenor and it's a metal Super Tone Master Otto Link and the only lettering I see is a W.T. Anybody know anything about this one also.

Selmer makes good quality mouthpieces The D marking refers to the facing of the mouthpiece. Only you can judge the playability of a mouthpiece for your purposes. The Selmer D has a medium tip opening. That will give you a medium sort of sound and ease of playing. It's probably good for all around playing, but if you are looking for more of a David Sanborn type of sound or a barn-burning sound, that's probably not a good match.

This chart shows a comparison of various mouthpieces:

Otto Link mpcs usually have numbers and stars to designate the facing i.e 6*, so I'm not sure what the W.T. is.
