First off ask your teacher!
I would go for an established name like Yamaha, Jupiter, Yanagisawa - you should be abvle to find a used one within your budget. Also it's best to buy from a known, well established shop & you will ahve some comeback if there are problems. Don't go for new ebay ones of unknown name at 'bargain' prices. Good luck in your hunt.

Welcome to the world of sax :D I would recommend getting a Yamaha YAS-200AD and use Vandoren Size 2 reeds to start off with. You might even start with a harder reed since you do play other wind instruments. I've been using my Yamaha YAS-200AD for 4 years haven't had one problem yet :D

There are also fingering charts and care guides for the saxophone all over the internet so do plenty of research both before & after purchasing your product.

And of course, if you have any questions about your saxophone or want to continue this discussion, reply!
