Hi
I play alto sax and I've passed the 'beginners stage' and started to do harder repertoire but there's one thing holding me back. When I play the part underneath my chin/inbetween my neck and chin. I think it's to do with not having enough air so using too much tongue to get the sound out. This could also be to do with the fact I have asthma but probably not as I do use my inhaler beforehand. I don't know how to get rid of this problem but it needs to go away to help me progress. My teacher always says my musical ability is a lot higher than my technical ability on sax as I also play piano and violin too so I can read music, stay in time and all that.
Please can someone help me and give any suggestions. I will also be grateful for any other tips regarding sax, especially to do with breathing.
Thank you

Anyone have any tips or things to do for me to use more air and less tongue so I can get a better tone
Thanks:)
