Hey, I`m an aspiring bari sax player at DC High. I taught myself the instrument in a summer and apparently i seem to have a knack for it. I`m currently in a ska band and intend to be for a while. If anyone can help me out and hook me up with a sax I would be very happy. My parents aren`t going to help me buy it, they think I should invest my money into a car.... So I`m trying to keep this under $500. Thanks alot for looking everyone, reply or email me if you can help.

Sorry for the bad news, but I don`t think that it is very common to find a decent bari sax for $500. A good one (Keilworth) is about $8,000-10,000. I made a deal with my parents where we each payed 1/2 the price for a instrument.

I`m gonna have to agree with Wildband on this one. Bari saxes are expensive! Not just new ones, which can be up to $10k, but good used ones are not that much cheaper. If you ever find a bari for $500, chances are it is damaged beyond repair, and it is not even remotely playable.

Sorry to have to tell you that, but that`s just how it is.

prices for the bari is very high. The cheapest one i could find was still 3k and i dont think it had very good sound quality. If u want a bari sax, better go for and expensive one cause the cheap ones just dont last.

i playied barri sax for a while, and tried to find one at around 2k. i didn`t even find one at that price. if you do find a good bari at $500, then you should sell it and buy a better one.
