Hey all,
I`ve got a recorder that my mom gave to me when I was around 7. Well it came with a small booklet to get me started on learning and just recently I`ve picked it up again. Only as I`ve been finding sheet music to learn I`ve realized that it would be helpful if I could find out what kind of Recorder I`ve got. Or, if I managed to read it completely wrong and there isn`t such a thing as a "Soprano" and other types.
It`s black with the words Gill under the hole (Not finger hole) right below the mouth piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, sorry, it`s a plastic recorder, I would like to know if it is an alto or soprano or what of those...I`m not sure what all I need to post to find that out as if I knew that I could probably figure it out myself..if you ask me a question though, I`ll answer it as best I can!

More than likely its a descant as thats the most commonly used and sold. I f it is your lowest note is middle C and you use the treble clef
