In addition to warming the recorder to your body temperature make a swab for the windway by using the tubing from a toilet paper tube.

Cut the tube slightly narrower than the windway, with the length plenty long to be fully inserted plus a couple of inches going beyond the top of the recorder. The cardboard acts as a wick and quickly clears the windway. The cardboard will have a slight bend, which works perfectly for the curved windway of the recorder.

It is NOT recommended for wood instruments as the cardboard will be slightly abrasive on the wood.
