I was given a Yamaha descant (soprano?) recorder and it seems to be in the key of C, however it has a capitol E above the thumb hole on the rear of the instrument. I believe a B above the thumb hole indicates Baroque fingering but can find no reference to what the E could indicate.

Cheers.
