Hello,

Does anyone know, or have the notes for the recorder solo in the Prisoner of Azkaban film? On the soundtrack, it is at the beginning of the `Window to the Past` track.

You can buy and download the sheet music for Window to the Past at musicnotes.com (here`s the long link: http://www.musicnotes.com/searchresults.asp?mnuid=GM4TRGG8DH1RNWQGWQNSNUPDZ26BSQ3612Q2TQ36). You can even print out the first page for free. Not sure yet when the full book will be available more likely in your local music store.

Can anyone please tell me what type of recorder, (alto or soprano?) was used in the Window to the Past solo? I am interested in learning this instrument and I would like to start one with the same qualities. Thank you

Um, tis a flute that the song is played on. I`ve figured out some of it on my flute and now I am looking up the sheet music for the piece.

I hate to break it to you but I do not think that it was a flute because I just listened to it off of a program that I have and it closer matches the recorder then the flute and I should know because I am blind and learn music by listening to it now. I can tell you one thing though and that is that it is definately the recorder.

Why would you hate the movie. To me it sounded so good. I do not know what it looked like but it sounded like it would have been a really great movie. I love the Harry Potter books but can not watch the movies. I really wish that I could.

I got this CD for Christmas and i love it to death, and it might be the first CD i wear out from listening to it too much. I found when i read the music on the link you suggested, that it ( the music) didn`t match the notes at all! Can you please help me a bit more?

Thanks so much!

I realized that too because the one for Window to the past does not match what is going on in the recorder solo.

My half brother`s cousin is deaf and when i recently met her, she explained to me through sign language that she listens to the music by reading the music. I just thought that you would enjoy hearing about how she taught herself to enjoy music. She`s really great.
