I'm doing a few songs for my voice classes, and my teacher suggests that I ask a few people's opinion on my voice -- since I'm way too shy to ask my friends, thought I'd ask you guys what you thought -- don't be too harsh, I only just started...
Well, it is not necessary to have quicktime, those files can be played with Realplayer (it will automatically install the required plugin)
I listened to both files. I find it somewhat difficult to assess, because they are too short and without any accompanying instrument they sound a little out of tune (specially the first one).
But it is probably too soon to evaluate and you probably need to work on your voice some more time, get more sure of the notes tempo, etc.
Any idea of why should your teacher say that you ask others about your voice? He/she should be in the position to tell you frankly what he/she thinks and this normally is part of his/her obligations.
Anyway you have a young voice and it sounds nice to me. If you work with this or other teacher and get more confident I am sure you can do it!
