Hey. I've been having a problem for months. I have sang for ages and I'm improving and learning more but I still sound bad in a way but I don't notice till the last minute. and What genre does my voice suit? I think its suits rock not pop and pop songs are hard to sing.

(heres some songs http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=722419)

I tried to listen, but he link is not working.

What do you mean with "sound bad in a way but I don't notice till the last minute". Could it may be, when you hear your own recorded voice?

As for music types, I believe that one should sing what one likes or is satisfied with; but probably practising pop or more melodic music could train your voice and be useful for other "wild" genres such as rock.

In my opinion, the best singers, also in rock, are (or were, unfortunately) very good singers with well trained voices. Freddy Mercury comes to mind, but also Nina Hagen and a few others.

Give it a try!
