Ok so I have a love for music that is very ambient sounding. I would like to create music of that style but I can't seem to get it to sound right. An artist that is a true inspiration to me is Jutes. If you got a minute listen to (Jutes - We Good) to get an exact understanding of the style I'm going for. The hook sounds very stereo and stacked. I'm not looking to win American Idol, haha, I just want that good quality sound. But other than that I'm lost, I'm relatively new to singing, I mean I've always sang for fun and stuff, but I wanted to start to take it seriously. I guess what I'm asking is, how do you sing very melodic, in key, and write cadences that are catchy? I know what I'm asking is much more than just a simple answer, it will take a lot of practice and I'm willing to do it, just want some tips that will point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated!

Hello

That Jutes track is very well produced. If you just want to sing, practice singing then find a producer to make the music with.

If you don't have any music theory knowledge, or production experience, sounding like Jutes is going to be tough.

Learn how to sing r&b / mix vocals, and analyse how Jutes writes. Look for patterns of speech, melody and rhyme. Once you've studied Jutes, you'll have a few tricks up your sleeve

If you have any more questions regarding singing, just ask!
