Hi, I use Melody Assistant....I'm still on a free trial that I downloaded from the website!! It's quite good I suppose, but then I haven't been on any other programs to compare.

My school uses eJay Dance 4 to create dance music - it looks like pretty good software actually.

ps - can anyone tell me what sort of prices this type of software can be? So then I won't go and buy a rubbishy cheap one!!!! :P

Ooooh just found out, I use Sibileus at school....it's quite good I guess!! I don't really know my way around it yet, so at the moment I'm still a fan of Melody Assistant, but I've heard Sibileus is better....

I export a midi when i have finish. I attribut instruments (strings - Woodwinds - brass or other) to my guitar tab.
A the end, i use virtual instrument (cubase)for listen to mp3
For the sheet (part), i export in my soft Harmony Assistant (little soft very easy, i like !!) and i export all instrument in PDF

other exemples, my requiem :

Sibelius3 Sibelius is the ultimate program, and it doesent have to be expansive. I got it for free from a friend! its out there, you just have to find it! Final notepad sucks extremely much!

Sibelius is my choice. It's user friendly, it can teach you as you go, and everything is so easy to learn. It also has a ridiculously huge selection of instruments for both notation and tablature.

I use FlexiMusic Composer, a multi-track program for composing, editing and mixing of music.
