I recently got braces, like two weeks ago, and I have Coda Honor Band Audition's in a month, I made it into the band last year, and wanted to try out again this year until my father said I'm getting braces, so now I've got them and, not only has my high range disappeared, my range around first space F has disappeared also, and I have the auditions on Nov 5th, I'm really discouraged and doubt I can make it.. any tips? I've continuously practiced about two hours every day and I'm still not getting decent range/tone for what the band requires..

ok...rest as much as you practice...play 10 minutes rest 10 minutes...because ur chops will get tired way faster...go back to basics...no horn for a week...all mouthpiece...buzz anything..buzz ur old music....buzz whatever..lips slurs...ull be fine...just dont press...ull bust ur lip..that happened to me
