Any information youl be appreciated. I am going to view a horn with this inscription. I am not sure if it is actually made by Atkinson?? And, maybe this is a dumb question, but who is Heinrich A Wolff? Should I know who this guy is? Thanks!

I don't know anything about it, maybe somebody else does. But probably your best bet so far would be to ask about it where you're going to go view it. And a wonderful tool of this technological age you might use is the internet. I don't know how much you could find on the internet, but it could help.

There is scuttlebutt on the net about a stolen horn with this same inscription back in 2006, but the particulars are missing.

If Atkinson (the one we all know) says he knows nothing then it must be another Atkinson who may no longer be succesful. However, the musician who this horn is attributed to, or built in memoriam of is known for chamber music. Becasue of that I would assume this is going to be a smaller bore horn with a smaller bell taper.
