Hey everyone, i just stateted playing French Horn (literally since last Thursday) does anyone have any tips or suggestions on playing? I have been playing Trombone since 5th grade (now in 11th) and i am very good at learning new instuments.

Lip slurs will help your embouchure get adjusted to the french horn mouthpiece. And scales are a wonderful tool when learning a new instrument and all the fingerings. Be careful when you're doing scales so you don't start on the wrong partial.

Thank you I will work on those things. I already know the fingerings to most of the notes since I am playing B flat horn and they are the same as the trumpet and i know those fingerings, so thanks or the tips!
