Tips:
*practice at soft and loud dynamics. Exaggerate the printed dynamics in your music when practicing
*get used to enjoying long tones. The more long tones you do the better in tune you will be.
*never force your range it'll only hurt you. Find what your comfortable range is now (high and low) and then slowly work toward extending it. Perhaps a half step every two weeks.
*develop a full warm up/maintenance routine and a quick warm up routine.
*be humble and grateful; none of us deserve to play such a wonderful instrument.
