Hi there! I'm Haley. I'm a junior in high school and about a year ago, I took up French horn to be in the wind ensemble. I borrowed a school French horn till the end of July, and now I have my own. The only issue is that I haven't got a clue as to what model it is.

The serial number is H48541.
It is old and beat up but sounds pretty darn nice in my opinion, but that means I can't see much on the bell or anywhere really. I looked at a list of serial numbers and the H prefix seems to indicate that it was made in 1966, but I could be wrong. I don't have any pictures as of right now, but I will take some during wind ensemble tomorrow.

The bell has CG CONN LTD etched on the outside of it. It is a brassy color, not silver at all.

Can anyone help?

On a side note, it looks really crappy. Does anyone know if I can get it refinished or something like that, and an approximate cost if so?

Thank you!
