I have been playing this piece for a long time, with various instrument combinations. I cannot figure out who the composer is, even though I am pretty sure it is from the Baroque period.

that sounds really familiar, but i can't put a name to it. it almost sounds like it's out of a movie, one of those generic "period" songs they play durring dance scenes and random other stuff. but it's probably a real song.
