I need to find a jazz concert to view. From that concert I need to know which band is playing and what instruments are used. Prefferably from 1980 to present. And I also need to know who have been the five best jazz musicians since 1980. Could someone suggest to me where I can get this important information? Or give me some suggestions?

It isn`t clear to me what you mean by "view". My best guess is that you don`t mean an actual performance (otherwise you`d say "see", not "view") but a video recording of a performance. You`ll find several at your local public library. Ask someone at the Reference desk. That`s what they`re paid for.

The video will tell you the names of the groups. If you can`t tell what instruments are being played from just looking, report back here.

This, of course, will be a matter of subjective opinion--but first you need to clarify what you mean by "since 1980". Still alive after 1980? Still playing in public after 1980? First achieving fame after 1980? First achieving public recognition after 1980? First playing in public after 1980? Born after 1980?
Whatever you mean, please don`t list Wynton Marsalis--and if you list Kenny G. I will hire a hit man to off you; count on it.
