Hey,
I'm pretty new to jazz music and was hoping that someone can point me towards some french sounding, accordian, late night, film noir, mellow trumpet type stuff. I really have no idea of similar artists but I have this sound in my head!! Would appreciate any suggestions that I could check out!
Thanks.

Wynton Marsalis is a good all-around trumpet player.

Wow Zoom, the Miles Davis clip is amazing! I love the trills and vibrato. Very smooth and even; suttle. That's hard to do that well.

Stan Getz has some nice Bossa Nova stuff. Of course there's Corcovado and The Girl from Ipanema, but those are some pretty over-done standards.
