Hey guys, Im currently doing my dissertation on the possible effects of reality television shows on the music industry and wondered if any of you had any views on this subject matter? Any comments would be helpful. Thanks, Kat.

this is a very young forum and ur title didnt seem to work well.

but lemme see. i dont watch reality tv.

even mtv, the music tv station, has given up on mixing reality and music. if u notice, the stars of their shows are singers, that do everything except sing.
they are just there to spend money and be excentric.
i dont concider Amer Idol a reality show. to me, its a game show. with a prize for the winner.

I consider American Idol a reality show. I enjoy watching reality shows and watch such as:
The Apprentice
American Idol
Survivor

And I am looking forward to watching The Contender when it starts. But back to the subject at hand. Reality shows can affect people`s views on whether or not they can make it in the music biz. It also can make people think that you can get by on looks. Some artists do start out like that, but I believe in the end talent rules all else out.
