" in that case madonna is better than pearl jam because she is widely listen to in the radio, or the rollingstones or whatever. "

Of course Madonna & Rolling Stones are more listened to on the radio, because they both have tons of more albums & music. Madonna was around long before Pearl Jam formed.

Also (it's spelled "influential" by the way) I don't call Pearl Jam influential because "some magazine said it", I call them that because all you have to do is listen to the radio &/or read about it

Seether has covered Pearl Jam's 'Immortality'
Staind has covered Pearl Jam's 'Black'
Jack Johnson has covered Pearl Jam's 'Indifference'

Those are 3 right off the top of my head of current artists that have covered Pj songs.. If I had an entire list here, you'd be a lot more surprised than you think.

It's not a question of which artists cover Pearl Jam, or how good they are. It's the point that they're influenced enough to cover their songs live.

You think tons of crappy artists haven't covered Bob Dylan? It doesn't mean Bob Dylan sucks because of it.

Besides, based on the lie you told me about how PJ called Iron Maiden an influence.. That, ironically, you said you heard from me in the first place - I'm hesitant to believe your list of bands that covered Iron Maiden

You can just write any band & any Iron Maiden song & say it was done. You know I'm not gonna waste time going to see if it's true or not.

Besides I know Iron Maiden is heavily influential, I never said they weren't. So I don't know what you're trying to prove.

my point is that iron maiden has influenced more bands, meaning musicians and is considered a legend by every single heavy metal and mainstream rock band, like metallica, megadeth, ozzy, and a !***! load of others bands and nu bands, but you say that pearl jam is influential because they are played on the radio more often, or because they sold more records than others.

and you probably will check if what i wrote down is true so dont give me that crap. check it out

Well no I definitely don't believe Iron Maiden has influenced more artists than Pearl Jam. When I go to local clubs, I've seen people & bands I don't know do Pearl Jam covers, happens all the time. I've yet to see Iron Maiden get that kind of reputation.

dude every cover band that i see at a local club plays atleast one maiden song, usually wasting love or the trooper, plus in my band we play as much maiden as we can or the audience wants, and i agree pearl jam covers are also popular, we play even flow.

I forgot to add simple plan to my list.

@Ruby I like Led Zeppelin. I was kinda defending them from the freak that hates all rock in general.
