Nirvana is the reason this alternative punk/emo/tuneless indie crap is popular. If they hadn't come around we'd still be listening to Skid Row. Personally i'd prefer it that way

There would have been no bands like Pearl Jam, The Smashing Pumpkins, and so forth without Nirvana. Or moreso, they wouldn't have been as popular as they were. If you wanna look at the real floodgates opening for acceptance to that crap, it's Dookie, as much as I like that album, they're the reason pop punk became popular and lead into emo and screamo and !*****! !***! like that.

None of those bands you mentioned is good Zeppbeat. Especially Pearl Jam. I have to say Jeremy has to be one of my top 10 worst songs ever.

Also the most influential album in popularising this 'oh woe is me' crap was The Downward Spiral by NIN not Dookie.

Ppls just get over the fact that emos just like hardcore music and they have a life style suited to the genre of music they listen to... Give them a break.

i know seriosly im a emo to there should be nothing to be agianst them and do't give them a hard time because how people become emo is they try to have a good relasionship with someone and they get dumped they are critizized about everything that they can do and all they then depend on is having a band and then thats all they care about is music and thats there life and thats why theres alot of emo bands and on there bios there not married only because they do music, nothing else, then they grow into not even caring about anything about anything accept music, so whoever hates emos, shut the hell up! because you hate emos is because you have a great life and you can't friekin accept that they don't

emo is more than what kind of music you listen to, its the way you feel. you don't know what is going on in someones life so who are you to judge what they are doing to make themselves feel better? i don't agree with you people stereotyping everyone that wears black as emo. i do think that it has gotten out of hand, everyone is trying to be different by being the same. there are better ways of being different than making up problems if you have none. if ur emo and don't have ne actual problems you are an idiot you should be thanking whatever god you worship (or dont) that your life is good. i can see both sides of this b/c i am right in the middle. i think you all should take a step back and look to see exactly who it is you are critisizing they are all real people just lk you, they have issues and problems just like everyone but that is their way of copeing so who are you to judge?
