Hello guys/girls...
I just want to know if anyone else sometimes feels like rock music has just gotten kind of boring?
Please don't get me wrong I LOVE ROCK MUSIC I do,I do!
But I have all the music I want and no other bands are coming up making feel excited about buying their music. Does anyone else feel like that?
If so, what do you do about it?

I'm a bit bored with my rock collection. But thats only because I don't have enough money to buy the hundred or so albums I've got listed on Amazon and Ebay. I could increase my music collection and have months of songs to listen to - but I'm tapped out of cash. Sure there's nothing newo ut there to get wexcited about - so by old stuff. Go and find obscure classic albums and buy them. It may be old, but it will be new for you .

Rock music only lets me release my emotions, so it actually makes me feel better.

Thanks for replying guys!
I will check out those other bands.
Um...hey SJGAMER why don't you email me and I'll give you a very easy way to get all the music you want - this is how I get most of my music.
milotorres at google mail
And anyone else that wants to know can also email me

Back to the topic - my collection is pretty much done.
I got all the music that I want and when I really think about it all that I am waiting for is the new metalica and manson albums.
But why does rock music do that - comes and goes, like hip hop is dying at an alarming rate
What if this happens to rock?

Nope, not to me anyway.

I don't know about you but I totally dodge the mainstream. Instead, I go for the unknown and barely signed artists.

I've got like... 100 more rock bands to go. -.- It's taking absolutely ages to get all of their music.

I mean, rock is such a large genre... It can include so many other smaller ones mixed into it like.. alternative rock, or electronic rock...

If I do feel like it, I keep searching for more bands until I don't feel like it :P

I do find myself trying to go to the older stuff - but like the mainstream stuff, for some reason makes me feel more satisfied after I'm done listening.
Some of the unknown stuff can be cool - that's how I found witchfinder general, but to me their only nice song was burning a sinner.
I found Saint Vitus like that, just being purely bored of my other stuff, now they are one of my favourite bands.

The latest album I've bought is Metallicas 'Death Magnetic'. St. Anger was poor - but this latest one is pleasantly surprising. Great album. That's mainstream rock but is still awesome. Just like Audioslave .

Yes Death Magnetic is awesome!
Downloaded it over the weekend off you tube
When I felt like rock music was bumming me out it was because I was listening too much, too often - that can be pretty bad sometimes

Its also good to have some variation too

before I bought 'Death Magnetic' I was listening to the Cult. alternative 80's rock if you don't know them. They are pretty good.

On a level I agree, alot of modern rock and metal bands are a bit !***!, but theirs a few good ones, and the classic ones like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest are still making new stuff which is wicked!, so ROCK ON!

Hi
Im not sure if the stuff that gets played on mainstream radio is leading to your problem, if so Im not suprized. Good advice already given on listening to earlier music esp from the `70s. Try Audience, Yes, Wishbone ash, Toto, Genisis and Mike Oldfield, Rush. Dont think that because these are old timers now that they are outdated. Most of the stuff you hear now is a poor diluted immitation of that. Try also prog rock, Protokaw, Riverside, Planet X...
Widen your music horizons!
