I've slowly gotten into more and more metal over the past year or two. Going from Metallica, Slayer and Iron Maiden, to Black Sabbath, Sepultura, Pantera, Megadeth and Mastodon.

I've had a friend nagging me about Opeth and I always would pass that off as I've never been a big fan of any band incorporating gutteral, "cookie monster" vocals. But hell, I gave them a try a few weeks ago by purcashing their 2001 masterpiece, Blackwater Park.

Since then, I've become obsessed with that album and have checked out Watershed and Still Life. Those havent been as well-received as BP, but they're still enjoyable. Next on my list is to get more Opeth records, but also to suck it up and take a listen to Messhugah.

What album should I get first by Messhugah?

'Sup!! Well I haven't heard Messhugah, but I'm also a BP fan, I don't really like Opeth's full discography, but that one is still one of my faves ever.
